"Doing the inner work" - to me, it means reaching for your highest potential and following your soul’s deepest longings during your lifetime.
It means healing past wounds and become aware of your trauma, patterns, and shadow parts. Becoming friends with these parts with love and acceptance, as a daily practice.
Doing the work is an inside job, it’s a practice of un-learning and re-learning who you are meant to be. The work can be done on many levels; mental, emotional, energetic, traumatic, generational, somatic, social, habitual, and inner truth.
It’s a long winding path with no trophy at the end, but instead a whole new life. My biggest advice is to stop trying to control. Trust that this work you are doing will work – it takes time, and once you see the affects – you will know that forever in your heart.
What the work is NOT
Only reading posts on social media
Talking about doing the work or how much work you’ve done
Telling others what they need to do or how they need to do it
Isolating yourself from the world
Going to workshops, reading books, and listening to podcast but not implementing anything you learned
Only intellectualizing/learning and not putting anything into actual practice
Online Quizzes & Personality Tests
